Butler's Orchard Photography Policies:

  • Sessions are allowed at Butler's Orchard by appointment only
  • Session fees must be paid in full at the time of booking
  • Butler's Orchard does not provide a photographer for your session. If you would like to have a session at Butler's Orchard, you must provide your own photographer
  • There will be signage put out for photography sessions if requested, but if you require a map please email us ahead of time! We can be reached at [email protected]
  • If you select a "During Business Hours" session but arrive before or stay past business hours you will be charged an additional fee
  • If the weather is uncertain, please call the morning of your appointment.  We are happy to reschedule your appointment
  • Any unauthorized use of the Butler’s Orchard name or trademark and any or implied endorsement of any product or service is prohibited. Published photos (social media, website, etc.) should credit the location of photograph: Butler’s Orchard, Germantown, MD.
  • All photographers, artisans and clients are expected to be courteous and respectful of property, customers and activities while on the premises.  Butler’s Orchard reserves the right to ask photographers and their clients to move or leave the premises if they are disruptive or non-compliant with our policies
  • Butler’s Orchard welcomes all photo submissions!  If you’d like to share your photos with us, with your permission and credit, we may use them in print or online.  Photos may be submitted to [email protected]
  • Sessions are not available on weekends in late September through early November due to the Pumpkin Festival

Note: Sessions are booked in two hour increments. If you will need more than two hours, please book multiple sessions (i.e. 12-4pm would be two photography sessions)

Note: We will do our best to accommodate location requests. Locations are available seasonally. If a location is unavailable when booked, you will be contacted to adjust the location. 

If session is during business hours, our staff will be able to provide directions if needed!

I waive, release and discharge from any and all liability, including but not limited to, liability arising from any willful or negligent act or omission of Butler’s Orchard and their subsidiaries as well as their employees and owners. This release includes death, bodily injury, property damage, loss, accidents and delays incurred, nor do we accept responsibility for losses or additional expenses due to weather, changes in our services, missing provisions or any other personal limitations or mishaps. This Waiver and Release of Liability Form shall be construed broadly to provide a release and waiver to the maximum extent permissible under applicable law.
